I did the taking a picture of a day thing for a while- now its time to edit more than one. Hopefully I will have an excess of 365 photos in the gallery by the end...hehe

Ashley Harding > Toronto airport from the sky as we leave to cross the ocean for the MRH program. May 2009.

Ashley Harding > Our first view of Berlin from the sky. I used a filter to bring out the green. The city was surprising green with shrubs and trees of many varieties. I very nice city. May 2009

Ashley Harding > Grunewald Station in Berlin, Germany. The first stop on our Holocaust site tour. This is the station from which Berlin Jews were deported 'East'. I put a tined 'aged' black and white filter and a colored one on it to give it a slight old but contemporary feel.

Ashley Harding > The first memorial we saw in Berlin, Germany as part of the March of Remembrance and Hope trip. I put two filters on it. One to make it dark and sober and the second to bring out the greens of the trees and shrubs for a nice contrast.

Ashley Harding > The second memorial at Grunewald Station. The names, dates and times are meant to denote the 'banality of evil'. I used a filter that heightened the contrast.

Ashley Harding > A street sign that pointed the way to the Wannsee estate. I pumped up the green to contrast against the history of the place we were going to see on this street.

Ashley Harding > I love this shot. It's one of my favorite from the trip. Wannsee, where the discussion of the 'Final Solution' of the Jews took place had been talked up constantly for the contrast between its beauty and what was discussed inside. I loved finding this lion that at least gave a hint with its menacing appearance of what went on inside.

Ashley Harding > Beautiful flowers blooming at Wannsee in Berlin, Germany.
